Report

Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM. We were delighted to present a Q and A video between Mark and Murti where we learnt more about the exciting projects being carried out and the current situation. We were shocked to hear that inflation is now at 35% but relieved that the political situation is currently stable.

We sadly said goodbye to Ella who has been a trustee since 2020. We thanked Ella for her input and hard work over the last 3 years and she has promised to keep in touch!

We are delighted to have voted onto the board 3 new trustees. Ken Osanakpu, Cynthia Palmer and Selam Uma. You will be able to find out more about them on the About Us page on our website. We are confident they will be excellent additions to our board.

Annie reported a membership of 107 but stressed that there are also many friends of EEL who are actively supportive.

Mark as our new treasurer presented the accounts and thanked Kirsten for her hard work as treasure last year. We are in a healthy position. Fundraising is a key priority. We are still investigating grant opportunities but there are few available and the competition for the funds is high. We wish to set up a fundraising committee and ask for anyone interested to please contact secretary@exeterethiopialink.org

Dawn thanked everyone who had helped with the AGM, particularly Ella for her work on the annual report and Mark for taking the accounts in-house which has saved the charity a considerable sum of money. -
