This will buy 12 books for our libraries over a year.
We lend out 3000 books every month.
This means that 38 librarians will be fully funded and also trained, headteachers will be trained in best practice for their libraries and we will have some money left over to buy around 300 books for our libraries which are either least resourced or lending the most books.
More than 30 people attended the AGM on Saturday 15 June in Exeter. They were treated to a wonderful Ethiopian buffet generously donated by Hirut Von Lamy and provided by Ethiopian caterer, Atsede Gidey.
More than £800 raised so far (before doubling and Gift Aid), all of which will go towards providing school textbooks in Nekemte, Ethiopia.

Over 150 girls have attended tutorials and we are now extending this to boys to bridge the literacy gap caused by covid and local security issues.
